Low Mortgage Rates May Continue Through 2015

Low Mortgage Rates May Continue Through 2015
by Veronica Cabrera
September 28, 2012

On Friday, September 14th 2012, The Niche Report magazine reported that the efforts by the Federal Reserve to stimulate the economy will continue until at least 2015.  According to it, The Fed is continuing to stimulate the employment and housing markets, and does not plan to raise interest rates for another three years. This means that the low Annual Percentage Rates (APRs) Currently offered by Mortgage Lenders are set to continue.
They stated "that the Record low APRs have real estate investors taking advantage of the market. With the low financing rates, the financing of home purchases has increased and has brought relief to more than one million homeowners who were previously in negative equity situations."

What a great opportunity for those investors as well as for those first time home buyers. Not to mention, those homeowners, who are facing foreclosure are able to sell the property and as a result they find a solution to their housing economic situation.

There are excellent programs for first time homebuyers:
FHA - 3.5% down payment
VA  -  0% down payment
Conventional - 3% down payment
No PMI loan Programs

Ride in Bus in Beijing China!

Did you know that in China people are only allowed to have only one child !?!
If they have more than one, they would have to pay a fine of $50,000.
They are allowed to buy only one car as long as they are residents of Beijing. If they are not residents, they just can not buy any cars.
Did you know that the price of housing is so expensive, like $15,000 per square meter?
A 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo can cost $800,000 ( in the lower end range)

Open House with Great Attitude!

Good Attitude, Great Experiences!

July, 23 2012

Today, I had a plan for the day! Last night, before I went to bed, I decided to plan my day’s activity list. I knew that my day was going to be great because I just decided so. So I got up at 6:00 am, went to the gym for an hour as I had planned it last night. Then, I got all pretty and ready to go to do an open house. Seriously! I looked good; I felt good! It was an Awesome DAY!
While I put up my Open House Signs, I planned to distribute flyers for the open house in all the stores and shopping centers which were on my way.
You should have seen what a good response I received from almost every person I met! They liked me! I was so happy to tell them about my open house, they actually got excited for me.

It makes me feel the same way I did when I was a new agent who had never done any open houses?
FYI, I have been in the Real Estate business for 7 years.
I work almost 7 days a week and I do a lot of Open Houses.
The point is that today was different because I met a lot of wonderful people who wished me good luck and expressed a positive reception towards me!
I like people too.

Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressive / Maria Claudia

Massive Email to Be Resent
Maria Claudia / FOP

By Veronica Cabrera
July, 15 2012

Yesterday, I received an email about a case of a Peruvian girl who needed to find other cases like hers ( a incurable illness) she was asking to send her message to all our contacts. They were trying to find others with the same problem.

Immediately, I forward it to all my contacts hoping that it would be useful. After someone mentioned that it may not be real, I decided to search for more details. I found out the Little Claudia died in 2005. Even though this was a real case, there is no need to keep resending it.
I appreciate those who care, because there will always be someone who needs our time and cooperation.

Equal Housing Opportunity

Prohibited Practices of Real Estate
By, Veronica Cabrera
July, 6 2012

The Fair Housing Act prohibits discriminating against because of color, sex, religion, familial status, nationality or disability. It is against the law to threatening, intimidating, or interfering with the one’s desire of purchasing or renting certain property.
In the court case of Gladstone Realtors v. Village of Bellwood, a real estate firm was taken to court for steering. The following link provides information about this specific case

The Unite States Department of Justice website provides all the necessary information to avoid any of these rights violations.

Housing professionals have to be fair when providing services to the public. As long as the person qualifies for a loan and is capable to acquire a property, agents and lenders should be prompt and willing to help. It is our fiduciary obligation, as representatives, to advise and represent our clients in their best interest
